Happy Feet's Life Story Will Be Featured on MMK

Ramonito and Lourdito Mata, more popularly known as dancing duo "Happy Feet" of "Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2," will share their life story in the country's longest-running drama anthology this month.



Ramonito told abs-cbnNEWS.com that they are honored to be featured in "Maalaala Mo Kaya."



"Masayang masaya po kami at masha-share na namin ang buhay namin at kung ano ang story namin. Sana magustuhan ng manonood," he said.



Asked what viewers can learn from their life story, he said, "Marami po tulad ng pagkakaunawaan ng magkakapatid at pagmamahal ng mga magulang, at saka pangarap."



Ramonito said he is thrilled that his character will be played by his idol, John Prats. Young actor Nash Aguas, on the other hand, will portray the role of Lourdito, his 13-year-old brother.



Meanwhile, Ramonito called on their fans to watch "MMK" and to continue supporting their other projects.



"Sa mga fans namin, maraming salamat sa pagsuporta sa amin. Asahan niyo po na ang talent namin ay i-improve namin para sa inyo, at mahal na mahal namin kayo," he said.



"Sana ay hindi kayo magbago at hindi niyo po kami iiwan at susuportahan niyo kami sa journey naming magkapatid. Manood po kayo ng 'MMK.'"



Happy Feet won first runner-up in "Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2," which ended last June. The dancing duo lost to singer Marcelito Pomoy, who got the highest vote percentage from viewers at 19.56%.

Jake Cuenca Stars as Gay on MMK

Actor Jake Cuenca has taken on his first gay role for the upcoming episode of the Philippine television's longest-running drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”



Cuenca said it was a challenging role, and that he actually took the extra mile to give justice to the character.



“I was scared. I didn’t know if I could pull it off, but thanks to the letter-sender nandoon siya so mas napadali ‘yung trabaho namin ‘don,” he said during an interview with "TV Patrol" on Thursday.



Together with Cuenca in this project are veteran actors Ricky Davao and Vivian Velez.



Impressed with Cuenca’s acting prowess, Velez was all praises for him.



She said, “It’s a delicate role, and na-balance niya. Ang galing ni Jake.”



In this particular “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode, Cuenca will be playing the life story of a Filipino transgender in Spain.



This project was shot in Barcelona.

Jake Cuenca Reveals Next Projects

Fresh from his vacation abroad, Actor Jake Cuenca bared his new projects in ABS-CBN.

"I'm [sic] gonna be leaving next month. Magte-taping kami ng bagong soap opera. At saka na-enjoy ko talaga 'yung period na nagpahinga. Itong time off, na-enjoy ko talaga," he told ABS-CBN News.

He added that he will also be part of "Maalala Mo Kaya" as the show celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

Cuenca's last television series was "Green Rose" with Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales, which aired its last episode on May 27. His last movie project, "In the Name of Love" with Angel Locsin and Aga Muhlach, also premiered during the said month.

The actor denied rumors that he is depressed about not having a regular show in ABS-CBN in the past months.

"No, of course not," he said, adding, "It doesn't make sense to be depressed. There's no reason to be depressed at all."

Asked about actress Melissa Ricks, his former sweetheart, Cuenca said, "Mayroon na kaming napag-usapan ni Mel na kung ano man [ang] relationship [namin] noon, kung ano man [ang] pinagdadaanan [namin] ngayon, amin na lang 'yun. Para sa amin, may napag-usapan na kami na we just don't talk about it on TV anymore."

"We're both moving on in life."

Single and not dating anyone, Cuenca said he wants to focus on his career.

Erich Gonzales Back to Acting in MMK

Actress Erich Gonzales is back to acting via a special "Maalaala Mo Kaya" episode.

"Sobrang saya po and excited. Sana po ay abangan nila ito. Kasama ko po dito sina Albie Casiño at Miss Ana Capri," Gonzales told "Showbiz News Ngayon".

According to Gonzales she will be playing the character of Grace, an illegitimate child who is facing a lot of challenges in life.

"Ako si Grace, isang anak sa labas. I'm sure marami pong makaka-relate dito. 'Yong character ko dito 'yong journey niya kung paano niya babaguhin 'yong judgment ng tao at paano niya aayusin ang problema ng magulang niya," the actress said.

The young actress also said her newest television series "Maria la del Barrio" will be aired soon.

"'Yong 'Maria la del Barrio' po ay malapit na. Tuloy-tuloy naman po ang taping namin," she said.

Gonzales was known for her roles in the defunct afternoon TV series "Katorse" and "Tanging Yaman".
