Anne Curtis is once again on the cover of Preview Magazine.

Wearing a Michael Cinco gown, this is Anne’s 6th time to cover the best-selling fashion magazine.

Also featured inside this issue is the first Preview Emerging Fashion Talent Awards, the magazine’s way of championing the future pioneers in the Philippine fashion industry.

Anne Curtis on No Other Woman

Anne Curtis is excited about her latest film No Other Woman, which also stars Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes, because she gets to showcase her mettle as an actress. “I think this is really the last adult film from Star Cinema for this year,” explained Anne. “It’s a mature love story affair so I’m excited kasi puro mga rom-com (romantic-comedy) ang mga napapanood natin [so] for a change it’s something with depth.”



The actress also shared the project also serves as a first. “It’s the first time that I’m portraying a role that deals with domesticated life kasi laging boyfriend-girlfriend ang issue [ng past movies ko]. Ito kasi mag-asawa na [and] it’s a first for me. Ibig sabihin ready na ako for mature roles, hindi na pang-bagets. Kasi iba na naman. Bago na naman kasi laging comedy o kaya love story, ito parang it’s something far from ginagawa ko in the past.”



Anne related that when she dubbed for the movie, she was surprised when she saw her acting in this project. “Naloka talaga ako, sabi ko, ‘Oh my gosh!’ Pero ang galing kasi parang natawa ako sa sarili ko kasi I’m not used to seeing myself on the big screen na ganon so nakaka-excite din. I was so excited to get into the role and I was super involved sa script and everything and made sure everything [was] maayos.”



But she clarified that although she is ready to take on more mature roles, it does not necessarily mean that she is willing to go daring in all of the projects. Anne continued that her priority is to make sure that her projects have good stories. “I don’t think anymore the issue here is sexy, eh. Parang it’s such an old issue. It’s not that anymore, eh. It’s more of the scripts that are given now. My generation parang lahat kami we’re attacking more mature roles, which is good,” said the actress. “I think that’s the fun part of being an actress, when they realize your worth as an actress.”



When she was asked about her love scene with Derek, Anne said that they were both uneasy at first. But it was a good thing that they had worked together before on some projects so they were able to pull off the intimate scene. “I mean it’s normal [to feel uneasy] but at the end of the day, happy ako na hindi ito ‘yung first time na naka-work ko si Derek. Kasi kung first time, ang laking ilang factor talaga,” shared Anne. “At least naka-work ko na siya before sa The Wedding [and] magkapitbahay pa kami dati so walang ilangan factor.”



She added that she and Derek have gotten closer because of the movie. “Sabi nga namin iba na ang level ng closeness namin. Iba na ang friendship natin ngayon. So it’s good that before we did the intimate scene parang we shot so much before, parang na-establish ‘yung characters namin.”

Anne Curts Sings ABS-CBN Ulan Station ID

ABS-CBN has released its 2011 Rainy Season Station ID featuring the song “Sukob Na” the Anne Curtis version.



The newest Kapamilya station ID dubbed as “Ulan” was first seen on ASAP Rocks last Sunday, August 28. It features the stars of ABS-CBN’s current shows like Umagang Kay Ganda, Showtime, Happy Yipee Yehey!, Maria La Del Barrio, My Binondo Girl, Guns and Roses, The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition, and Banana Split.



Sukob Na was originally sung by the group 17:28 and was used as network’s rainy season station ID theme in 2002. It was also sung by Aiza Seguerra for ABS-CBN’s rainy season station ID for 2010.

Anne Curtis' Scene-Stealing Dress at the Philippine Fashion Ball

Anne Curtis arrived at the first Philippine Fashion Ball held last August 15 at the Manila Peninsula Hotel with her boyfriend, Erwan Heusaff.



Her dress, a Rajo Laurel-creation was a scene stealer. The dress almost left nothing to one’s imagination as her cleavage, part of her tummy, her entire sides and back were exposed.

Anne Curtis Takes MRT Again

“I think I should be the ambassador for public transportation na! Haha.”

This was what “Showtime” host Anne Curtis said via her Twitter account (@annecurtissmith) on Aug. 2 after she was forced to take the Metro Railway Transit (MRT) again recently due to what she said is the “bad traffic” in EDSA

“I love how fast the MRT is!” added Anne, who was on her way to the “Showtime” studio when she rode it for the second time.

“Can you get a card for it na pwede mag-load? Like an oyster or myki card?” Anne added as if preparing for another MRT ride in the future.

The Oyster card is a re-loadable electronic ticketing system used on public transport services within Greater London, while Myki is the name for the same kind of ticketing system used in Australia —both with roughly the same function as the stored value cards of MRT in the country, only our local cards cannot be reloaded by the user.

Seemingly at ease inside the train, Anne posed for photos with her younger sister, Jasmine Curtis-Smith while on the MRT. She then posted the same picture in her Twitter account.

“Thanks to my beautiful baby @jascurtissmith (Jasmine Curtis-Smith) for being game to jump out of the car, duck under the railings along Santolan, run up the flooded stairs with the rain pouring down as hard as and catch the MRT with me! Her sneakers and socks are drenched but I haven't heard a simple complaint! #ilovemysistersomuch” she tweeted.

Though she missed the show’s opening, Anne made it just in time for the show's daily “Madlang People Chant” segment, wherein she comes up with a short song and dance number that the audience will then imitate.

Just last month, the actress-host made the news when she took the train for the first time in order to make it to the concert of Australian singer Kylie Minogue in Araneta Coliseum on July 5.

Derek Ramsay on Doing Bed Scenes With Anne Curtis and Cristine Reyes

Aside from being a games master on The Biggest Loser, Derek Ramsay is also busy shooting a movie with Cristine Reyes and Anne Curtis. In a recent interview, the dashing actor said that he’s really honored to be working with two of the sexiest and most talented actresses in the biz. “Si Anne nakatrabako ko na before. But it’s my first time to work with Cristine. Masaya din siya katrabaho. I feel like I need to give my best performance every shooting day para masabayan ko sila dahil master na master nila yung characters nila. Nung una kasi medyo nangangapa pa ako. Pero dumarating na kami sa mga eksenang mabibigat ang tension at heavy drama, so naintindihan ko na talaga yung character ko,” he said.

Derek further shared that he has already done several intense bed scenes with both Cristine and Anne. Since his leading ladies are both romantically committed in real life, did he have to ask permission from their respective beaus? “I don’t know with Anne and Cristine kung nagpaalam sila [sa kani-kanilang boyfriend]. But Rayver's like a brother to me and Erwann's my ex-girlfriend’s brother, so I don’t think kailangan magpaalam. On my end, alam ko na artista kami. Si Angel (Angelica Panganiban) hindi nagpapaalam sa akin, ako hindi rin nagpapaalam sa kanya. Parte ng trabaho namin yun e. She trusts me and I trust her na hindi kami gagawa ng eksena na ganon na hindi naman kailangan.”

As a matter of fact, Derek and Angelica go on double dates with Cristine and Rayver since all of them are close friends even off cam. Angelica and Cristine greet each other on Twitter every now and then. “Yung time na niyakap ako ni Cristine during a fashion show, that was all for show. Yung script was mag-aagawan sila ni Vice Ganda. Yun lang ang ginawa namin sa stage. Walang issue yung pagyakap ni Cristine. There was no malice in it. Tsaka lumalabas nga kami—ako, Angel, Cristine and Rayver. So wala, hindi magseselos yun si Rayver,” he added.

Anne Curtis Set to Release First Music Album

Actress Anne Curtis is now a recording artist.

Titled “ANNE-Bisyosa,” Curtis told ABS-CBN News that her first CD is expected to be released in August of this year.

“I’ve been waiting for 14 years for an album, buong career ko. It’s really a dream for me to have an album. Isa siya sa mga nasa bucket list ko… I’m a frustrated singer kasi,” she said.

She joked that it might be her first and last album so she gave all her best when she recorded the songs.

Curtis has duets with Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo and Andrew E. She disclosed that she and Geronimo belted out “Total Eclipse of The Heart.”

“Sarah was very nice to agree to sing a duet with me. Pati si Andrew E., and then if I could have more guests in my album, I would. For now, ‘yon muna. Lahat solo ko,” she said.

She added that her album is fun and should not be taken seriously.

“I’m so happy. People are supporting it. Nakakatawa pero hindi pinagtatawanan. Something fun lang talaga,” she said.

Meantime, Curtis considers the billboard issue closed.

“Bahala na sila. There are more other things to focus on but at least it’s over and done with. We’ve already said our piece,” she said.

On Monday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ordered Curtis and Angel Locsin’s billboards pulled out along Boni-Edsa for lack of permit.

An MMDA press statement said the billboards showed the 2 actresses both clad in bras.

But Curtis said the MMDA could have been mistaken since she has no such billboard.

“I really don’t know. I think nagkamali lang sila. Wala akong ganoong billboard along Edsa-Boni,” she said. “Medyo weird pero I guess people make mistakes… If they’re going to make an issue lang, sana lang kinaklaro nila.”

She also said that all her billboards are still up.

Vice Ganda Wins Best Kylie Minogue Costume, Anne Curtis Rides MRT to Make it to the Concert

Not even a heavy downpour in Metro Manila stopped fans of Australian singer Kylie Minogue.

A number of Minogue's supporters braved heavy rains and went to the Araneta Coliseum Tuesday night to witness the singer's one-night concert.

Most of them, including celebrities, were dressed “Kylie Minogue style” while watching the concert.

“Sobrang laking fan. Mamamatay ako kapag hindi ako umabot,” said Vice Ganda.

Rumored couple Angel Locsin and Phil Younghusband, who arrived together, were also spotted.

Actress Anne Curtis, meanwhile, even took an MRT ride and travelled in disguise just to make it to the concert.

Minogue did not disappoint her fans. She opened the show wearing a goddess-like outfit.

She also wowed the crowd by performing unique production numbers.

Minogue sang her top hit songs including “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.”

In her official Twitter account, Minogue said she chose Vice Ganda as the winner of the best Minogue costume.

“Vice Ganda was the winner tonight here in Manila...the show tonight was our own mini-thrilla-in-manila!!! Incredible audience,” she said.

A number of Filipino fans are anticipating that the singer's concert will have a reprise.
