Now that she’s back in the country, Sarah Geronimo is busy with showbiz commitments, endorsements, and her upcoming movie Gerald Anderson. After the success of their first movie together, Sarah admitted that there is less pressure on their onscreen team-up. “Nung bagong simula yung aming pelikula siyempre may doubts kami kung mag-wo-work ba yung kami, kung may chemistry ba kami, ganun. Thank God na lahat ng supporters na-appreciate nila yung effort namin in making a good movie for all of them,” she shared.
But even while shooting their first movie, Catch Me, I’m Falling, Sarah admitted it was not hard to adjust to her leading man.
Although they have chemistry as a couple onscreen, Sarah clarified that she and Gerald only share a professional relationship. Not at all. Kasi okay kami eh. Hindi naman kailangan ma-pressure di ba?” she said.
During her short stay abroad where she took dancing lessons to further hone her skills, Sara said she did miss seeing Gerald. “Oo naman. Napaka-gentleman naman ni Gerald at saka napaka-professional as an actor. At kahit wala kaming constant communication like through texting, nandudun pa rin yung chemistry at yung friendship namin. Sarah also adds that she has thankfully not received any backlash from fans of the actor and former love team partner Kim Chiu.
While her next movie is still in the planning stages, Sarah admitted she has prioritized her singing career over acting lately. “Wala pang teleserye. siguro kasi marami kasing concerts, priority ko talaga yung concerts. At saka may pelikula naman so yun lang siguro muna,” she said.
But before all that, the Pop Princess answered the issue that she is planning on leaving the Kapamilya Network.
The 22 year-old said that she has learned to accept the constant flow of intrigues that come her way being in the limelight. “Kumbaga yung issues, talagang never-ending yan when you’re in show business, so tanggap ko na yun. Kasi bahagi yan ng showbiz world. Alam ko na yan,” she said.
The Popstar Princess said that even though she has many projects lined up, it is not an excuse to feel like a big time celebrity.
Now that Nora Aunor is back in the country, Sarah admitted that she would love to get the chance to work on a project with the Philippines’ Superstar. “Siyempre dream come true yun if ever matuloy yung makatrabaho ko ang superstar na si Miss Nora Aunor. Nabigyan ako ng chance na makapagpa-picture with her.
