Actress Melissa Ricks has reacted on her ex-boyfriend Jake Cuenca's plan to bring a date in the upcoming Star Magic ball."Kung gusto niya magdala ng iba, wala na ako dun. It's his choice to bring somebody else," she said.
However, she added, "Basta ako hindi ako pupunta na may kasama kasi ayaw ko na may masaktan."
Unlike Cuenca, Ricks said she has no plans to bring a date in this year's Star Magic ball.
She said she'd rather enjoy the company of all her showbiz friends who will be attending the event.
"Ako, I'd rather go by myself," she reiterated.
Ricks told ABS-CBN’s "Showbiz News Ngayon" on Friday that Cuenca has already informed her about his intention to bring Lovi Poe as his plus-one for the upcoming event.
When asked about her initial reaction about it, she nonchalantly said, "Wala."
According to Ricks, she just wants to push all the controversies between her and Cuenca aside.
"Ayaw ko na may controversy pa dahil tapos na 'yung tsismis, so 'wag na nating dagdagan," she said.
